SENSORY ANALYSIS

  • Colour: Garnet Red with a tinge of deep Ruby Red .
  • Bouquet: Intense and elegant with complex aromas recalling the mature cherry, jam, a clear hint of rose, vanilla, roasted hazelnut, liquorice and spicies.
  • Taste: Warm and structured, with well balanced tannins. Round and elegant, full-flavoured, austere, it recalls the lenght of the bouquet. A pleasant spicey sensastion perfectly merged with a faint hint of wood.

NAME'S ORIGIN
The name of this wine comes from the land of Tenuta Zicari where the grapes grow, so called Pezzapetrosa. When the original farmers began to work it, they found the land full of stones and so they called it Pezzapetrosa, that means “land full of stones”. It’s from this wild land, later dominated by men, that the great taste of this wine comes and its name is a gift to the hard work of all the people that made the land fruitful.
